Dave has over 36 years of specialty chemical industry experience. As President/CEO of Valentus Specialty Chemicals, Dave is leading the organization in strategy development and execution.

In 2006, Huron Capital backed Quest Specialty Chemical to acquire Matrix Systems and Dave went on to lead the Quest Automotive Products group as President. Dave continued to run QAP beyond Huron Capital’s ownership, growing the business with more than 6 brands, to become one of the most successful companies in the vehicle refinishing industry today. Dave helped transition his automotive business over 2 subsequent transactions before joining Valentus. Dave also has vast experience in the areas of product development and operation management.

Dave’s proven track record of strategy development, execution, cultural change, integration synergy capture and new product innovations, have positioned his organizations to gain market share and accelerate value capture in consolidating environments. Having experienced multiple buy and sell side transactions, Dave has become well versed in value creation, leading teams through growth phases, and recapitalization activities.
